Winter 2005

Yes, winter does not arrive for another 11 days. Yet we are under 7" of snow with more coming... the roads have not been cleared because the town of Lafayette does not want to use too much salt because it's price has risen so high. Our average temperature for the past couple of weeks stays below 20 degrees.

The puppy loves it.

Speaking of the puppy... I have never in my life experience so much energy in such a small package. She is very loving, she is sweet and she is incredibly driven. If i am not directly working with her, she is competently and quickly destroying something.

She is like all the dogs I have ever owned, all wrapped up into one bundle of tnt. She has the smarts of Rusty, the Border Collie mix; she is a thief, shred-artist and terror like the Dobie/Shepherd, Jo Jo; the quickness and speed of my Greyhound, Conna and the schmaltz and sweetness of the Dane/Lab cross, Cully.

We have just finished our 2nd clicker class and will start working towards obedience after the holidays. This is a good thing. She needs a job, a mission. Without this she would drive a sane woman crazy.
